Thank you for the response. I have tried clicking on the exe file itself
in the Program Files directory - same result.
I will try both avenues tomorrow.

My answer assumes that you are starting XMLmind XML Editor (XXE for
short) normally, by double-clicking its icon, and not by
double-clicking on a possibly modified "xxe.bat".

file "C:\Program File\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe".
File "C:\Program File\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" is part of the Java
runtime.
I see a few threads on the subject in the Support forum, but if there is
a direct solution to this, could you please point me to it?
[1] Please re-install Java.

[2] Recommended: Uninstall your copy of XMLmind XML Editor and instead
install a self-contained distribution of XMLmind XML Editor:
xxe-pro-5_5_0-setup.exe
*not*:
xxe-pro-5_5_0-setup-nojvm.exe
I cannot help you more as I have no way to reproduce a problem which
is obviously specific to your computer.
