The "nv" driver that comes with XFree86 does not support the dual-head feature of the NVIDIA chips. NVIDIA's binary Linux drivers from the NVIDIA web site supposedly do, but the XFree86 project can't give you tech support on those drivers. NVIDIA has documentation on their web site:
