Hi, I solved my problem with the S3Trio64V2/DX card, it is not the best but
at least I have a screen now.

I tried the Xserver 4.3.0 in the RedHat 8.0 distribution. But that gave the
same error mesage:
fatal server error: no screens found

When I use the VESA (generic) driver I get a screen. Both with the Xserver
4.3.0 and with the original RedHat 8.0 distribution (Xserver 4.2.??). In
Red Hat the driver is found under the "Other" drivers. So if Red Hat
proposes S3Trio64V2/DX, do not choose that, but choose "Other", VESA
(generic).

Success, Joost
