Since you're using the standard VGA driver, you need a 'SubSection
"Display"' for Depth 4 in the "Screen" section of XF86Config.
Another solution is to use the "ati" driver instead of the "vga"
driver. It will allow you to use higher depth/resolutions modes than
the generic vga driver.
