Just reporting my success getting XFree86 4.1.0 and a Matrox Millenium to drive a Fixed Freq. SyncOnGreen monitor.
In my research, I found various references to "ModeLines for fixed frequency monitors" sites but none of them seem to exist anymore. I guess this is as good a place as any to let people know what worked. I have a HP A2094B 21" monitor. It runs at 1280x1024 and has a 130MHz pixel clock which translates to a 77.01KHz horizontal frequency and a 72.25Hz vertical frequency. Interestingly, none of the sites I found with monitor info got the freq. numbers right. The X modeline for the monitor looks like this: ModeLine "1280x1024" 130 1280 1328 1472 1688 1024 1025 1028 1066 -vsync -hsync I gave the card the SyncOnGreen option and it works nicely through a 3-BNC cable.
