Hello all,
I'm haveing problems with the newest verions of XFree86. My setup
was working perfectly when I was using 4.2.1, but after emerging the
4.2.99.4 my box dead locks with the old XF86Config file.
If i 'X -configure' and change the Modes up to 1024x768. It wont
start in any bit depth besides 8-bit. I don't know what would be causing this problem.
I've tried it with the neomagic driver, vesa driver and the fbdev driver all with same
results. Is there any way I can pull more debug information. The new version isn't
even showing which modelines were not valid and such.
Any ideas? What are the major changes between 4.2.1 and 4.2.99.4 that might effect
this?
