hey guys, i checked out the "world" module like so:
cvs -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs checkout -r xf-4_2_1 world
And then i do a:
cd xc
And then
make World >& world.log
and i tail the logfile.
it goes and goes, not very long though, and then i get this:

make[3]: Leaving directory `/mnt/install/Xfree86/xc/fonts/scaled'
make[2]: Leaving directory `/mnt/install/Xfree86/xc/fonts'

make[2]: Entering directory `/mnt/install/Xfree86/xc/doc'
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `clean'. Stop.
make[2]: Leaving directory `/mnt/install/Xfree86/xc/doc'
make[1]: *** [clean] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/mnt/install/Xfree86/xc'
make: *** [World] Error 2
I've tried various host.def files, none seem to work. Here's my uname -a:
Linux fetor 2.4.20-xfs #4 Mon Jan 20 02:11:50 PST 2003 i686 unknown
I can attach the entire log if someone wants it... thanks
