I have a Matrox G550 + 2 Matrox G450 PCI cards all with DVI output. All three are connected to Viewsonic LCD's via DVI.
I am running 4.2.1 on FreeBSD 5.0 compiled from source with the Matrox HAL libraries. Any time I try to send the monitors into sleep or poweroff, they just end up displaying a series of colored vertical bands that vary depending on what my desktop looks like. I have Options "DPMS" in my config file. I know Andrew said that DPMS was working with his G550 and was wondering where the difference likely is. Does it work better with 4.2.99.x?
