Thanks you fo your help. But by mistake what I had written in the mail did not arrive
the whole. My mail was the following:

Dear all,

I have installed a Debian Linux and with the "startx" command I receive
messages like :
"Not using default mode "...."(insufficient memory for mode)"
.
.
Mode pool is empty.

And finally:
"Fatal server error:
 AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0"

My video card is NVDIA Riva TNT2 Model 64.(The Monitor I use is NOKIA 17'')

Could you please help me with the settings that i have to specify with
the "xf86config"??

Please help me!!!
Thank you in advance!!

I would also like to say that startx doesn't finally work and that I have also used "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86"
for the configuration but the same messages appear.
I'm looking forward to you help!
