Dear Heba, Have you tried using \footnotemark and \footnotetext to deal with footnotes within this environment? I think that's what I've used for textual variants in poems. I wouldn't wonder that the traditionalpoem environment will not work in a footnote anyway. I've never tried setting whole lines in the footnotes, just short-phrase variants. Best wishes, Gareth. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iD8DBQFOAIJ/9UDttp8yrx4RAgfDAKC1pCPbk9NPmO6ImFlt9dgc9y8kJgCfVKde NS+31HpvRHRIWzBGfESBVwI= =a+uH -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -------------------------------------------------- Subscriptions, Archive, and List information, etc.: http://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/xetex
