It'd be nice to put the summary to a XeTeX wiki, but the only one I have found (xetex.tk) seems read only. ... > > To summarize, the only reason to continue using xdv2pdf is probably when > you have to use AAT fonts. My use case is an application of Quartz filters. A document has a lot of images (PDF format, some text plus 1200dpi photos). The generated PDF is of 300 Mb. If I apply the Quartz filter "Reduce File Size" to rescale bitmaps to 300dpi, the size is less then 10Mb. With xdv2pdf I could apply the filter during PDF generation and immediately get 10 Mb PDF. With xdvipdfmx, I have to generate 300Mb first, and then re-filter the PDF. Probably it is not a problem, but it somehow bothers me. > > - Jiang -- Oleg Parashchenko olpa@ http://uucode.com/ http://uucode.com/blog/ XML, TeX, Python, Mac, Chess -------------------------------------------------- Subscriptions, Archive, and List information, etc.: http://tug.org/mailman/listinfo/xetex
