While I agree with the Kconfig change, it not being mentioned at
all in the description is confusing. Does it need to be part of this
patch? Or can it rather be a separate one with a proper description?

It does not need to be part of this patch; it just ended up here because
the other Kconfig changes that I made were not useful and got dropped.
