I'm fine with delaying a change to address the (theoretical) breakage introduced by c0c099d. What I just learned a few minutes ago is the fact that c0c099d went silently into our 4.5 and 4.4 based packages along with XSA-142 fa30003. That happend already end of last year. Since I heard no reports about non-booting HVM guest after applying the dom0 updates I think its safe to assume that there are very few (if any) domU.cfg outthere which have vdev=xvda. So from this perspective its enough to mention the impact of c0c099d in the 4.7 release-note.
