I don't know what OpenSUSE factory is building but Xen 4.6.0 built in Debian just fine using gcc 5 and more recently due to https://bugs.debian.o rg/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=812166 I found and fixed all the issues which I could find with building gcc 6.
