Hi, Roger is correct: after I applied that patch and reinstalled qemu, modified /etc/init.d/xencommons to use the modified version of qemu to provide disk backend, I finally succeeded to create a xen guest! I noticed that this patch was proposed yesterday: just in-time to solve my problem. :-)
