Hi.

Yes you are right, it will be usefull to have zeroconf capabilities for 
all ports.
We can look for a common wrapper over dnssd or avahi.

I just want to note that avahi work on linux/macos and will work on 
windows http://avahi.org/wiki/GoogleSummerOfCode
