Liebe Ultimate-Gemeinde,
das Team "Shopski Otryad" aus Sofia (Bulgarien) hat ein sehr schönes Spiel ins
Leben gerufen, an dem ihr alle teilnehmen könnt und auf das ich euch heute
aufmerksam machen möchte: Disc of Peace!
Fünf unterschiedlich designte Scheiben reisen ab Januar 10 Monate durch die
Welt und sammeln Respekt-Punkte. Wer die meisten hat, gewinnt. Man kann als
Team oder Person
eine Scheibe "adoptieren" - dann besitzt man sie quasi (man kann sein
Logo/seinen Namen auf die Scheibe drucken lassen und am Ende des Spiels
im Nomvember 2014 bekommt man sie) und ist für sie verantwortlich. Oder
man "beherrbergt" eine Scheibe eine Weile und hilft ihr so, Punkte zu
sammeln, bevor man sie weitergibt.
Eine scheibe zu adoptieren bedeutet, dass man für die Produktionskosten
(geschätz 15-20 Euro) aufkommt.
Eine
Scheibe zu beherrbergen kostet nichts, außer eventuell den Versandt,
wenn man
sie weiterreicht (für den Fall, dass man sie mit der Post schickt).
Eine Scheibe darf nicht länger als ein Monat bei einem Team sein. Wofür
man alles Respektpunkte bekommt könnt ihr dem englischen Text unten entnehmen.
Außerdem findet ihr dort auch die Info, welche
Scheiben es gibt (rot und grün sind schon weg) sowie alles noch mal
ausführlicher für die, die es genau wissen wollen.

DISCS OF PEACE ARROUND THE WORLD 2014
Dear ultimate fan, please, take 5 minutes and read about this
interesting ultimate idea. If you like it, we will be glad if you and
your team join it! It is for free!
About the disc’s challenge:
• 5 Discs of peace will have the challange to travel arround the world
from January to October 2014.
• Each disc has it’ s own name, personality, it’ s own dreams and wishes.
• The 5 discs have the challenge to travel in as many countries over
those 10 months and while doing this collecting RESPECT Points.
•
So, the 5 discs compete with each other, but the respect points,
collected by them will be summed for our Disc of peace cause! The 1st
disc will be awarded of course!
• Every single ultimate team in the world can house a disc of peace and
help during the disc’ s travel.**
• Housing a disc of peace is ABSOLUTELY FREE, and your team only has to
pay the postal tax (if you send the disc to it’s next destination by
the posts of course). A disc can be housed by a team not longer then 1
month, so each disc will be housed by minimum 10 teams during it’ s long
journey.
• The housing team decides, where to send the disc next,
so if you want to house a disc, better contact the team, which currently
houses it. You can check this on Facebook.com/Disc_of_peace
• Every
team, person or organisation can adopt a Disc of peace, by covering the
production costs (arround 15 euro). The adopted disc with it’s personal
diary becomes property of it’s adopter after completing it’s journey
arround the world (in November 2014). Also, the team’s, company’s or
adopter’s logo and/or name will be printed on the disc.

The main goals of the Discs of peace are:
To promote our favorite sport everywhe arround the World.
To connect different teams from all around the Planet.
To raise awareness for the people and countries who cannot live in peace…
…and to try bring peace and friendship everywhere on their way.
To promote the good spirit of the game among the ultimate community,
because beeing a good athlete doesn’t only mean, that you are fast or strong
The good athlete respects the fair-play and the rules of the game.
We want the discs to collect Respect points,
because with money, arms and violence any conflicts cannot be solved.
Respect points can be earned:
By miles travelled – 1 point per 100 miles.
By number of countries visited –10 points for every new – visited country.*
By number of teams, which housed the disc – 5 points per
team.**
5 extra points if your team has a well maintained FFindr registration.***
By posting a photo with the disc on: Facebook.com/Disc_of_peace – 10 points.
By sharing the photo - 1 point per share.
By liking the posted photo – 1 point per like.
By leaving a comment under the photo - 1 point per comment ****
By playing a Freedom and Peace game of Ultimate and posting a short video of it
- 20 points.
By liking, sharing or leaving a comment under the posted video (same rules and
respect points as for the photos).
By accomplishing the special wish of every disc -25 points.
By continiuing the Ultimate comic strip in the personal (paper) diary oft he
disc -7 points. *****
By being an ultimate pioneer by helping for the establishment of new
ultimate team – 25 points. 5 extra points if this is the first team in
this country.*****
By bringing a team at the 4th edition of the Disc of peace international
tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria in October 2014

Now, meet the 2014 Disc of Peace Travellers!!!
RED_TED (the champion)
Ted is red! He is always full of power, but sometimes wants too much at
once. He likes risky and long throws and wants to be the top-scorer of
every game! Ted doesn’t like unfair decisions and bad spirit, so,
please, play hard ultimate with him, but respect the Spirit of the game!
Ted is not affraid of dogs, but dogs are affraid of him! He likes
listening to rock music during the games! He will also be very happy if
you play with him in the snow! Ted‘s Idol is Brodie Smith and his
special dream is to meet him some day and to become a movie star in one
of Brodie’s videos!
YELLOW_PILLOW ( the lazy one)
Pillow is
lazy, but this ist the only thing, which she doesn’t like about her!
She likes flying arround the world and hates lazy people, who leave
everything fort he next day, so, please don’t act like her. She likes
watching ultimate and checking her FFindr profile, but is very shy, when
she hast to play in official games. Please, don’t listen to her, and
play with her as more as possible! She needs to calm down and she will
be good enough! Pillow doesn’t like any kind of conflicts. She thinks,
that a Peacefull game of ultimate can solve many problems between people
and that if more people in the World play ultimate, they can bring
Fairplay tot he Planet and to our lives! Pillow is inlove with
Australia’s mixed ultimate 2013 Champions - Cabs are here‘s handler #85.
She doesn’t know his name, but she wants a photo with him and his
signature!
GREEN_JEAN (the eco responsible)
Jean is green! Green doesn’t meen only..green! It means, that Jean is
eco-responsible!
Jean will be mad at you if you don’t clean very well the field after a
training, or playing a game and you will make his dream come true if you
give the plastic cups, papers and all the rubish from your ultimate
event to recygling! Please, be eco-minded like him! He will also be very
happy if you to come to practice by bike and leave your car in the
garage! Jean likes safe and sure passes, and thinks, that the best teams
are the teams, which really value the disc and play smart. Jean
belives, that one day, when he is too old, he will be given to recycling
and will be re-born again and again!
BLUE_SUE (the party girl)
Sue is Blue! She likes techno music and freestyle frisbee parties. Sue
is very emotional, so she can be very happy if you treat her well, but
also in really bad mood (blue..) if you aren’t nice with her. She is
affraid of dogs and really affraid of hammer throws, because she doesn’t
find flying upside-down funny. She also doesn‘ t like turnovers, so be
carefull, because in any moment she can fly away! Sue‘ s special wish
ist o have a noisy 18‘th birthday party during her travel with a lot of
guests and loud music!, because they didn’t organize a party for her in
Bulgaria in December.
BLACK_JACK (the gamblling guy)
Jack
is… of course, he is black! Jack is a gambling guy, but only on the
field! He likes long and risky throws, and thinks, that they make
ultimate so attractive! He would prefer to loose a beautifull and
dynamic game, rather then winning by safe passes, so, when Jack is in
your hands, play it risky, play hard or go home! Jack doesn’t like Black
Jack or any kind of alcohol. Hardcore ultimate is his only drug! Jack’s
dream is to enter the Guines‘ world record by don’t know how to explain
it… to make a stack, but not of 7 people, but for exemple of 100…and
the people to throw it, so he can fly ay kilometers !)
Discs of peace is an idea of Steffen Heppt, developed by Steffen
himself, Lubomir Botev,…… and the Bulgarian ultimate community. Media
