For example, a way to call CQ on the main channel in a manner that facilitates other stations who choose to call me back, automatically qsying to an alternate frequency when calling me back, would be nice. I might call CQ on 50.313 and listen for replies on 50.318 and complete any contacts on 50.318. If other stations who click on my CQ call could automatically QSY to 50.318 and work me on that frequency that would be nice.
Hi Mark, One possibility could be to use directed call i.e. CQ 318 VE7AFZ that should do what you want. At least in principle as it is fully implemented in MSK144 and JT9 protocols. Use of it may require some action from both operators, at least the addition for CQ message. The Split operation behavior is described in the User Guide 10.4. Center bullet “With Split operation…”. I have not (yet) tested it to exactly know how it functions or is it what you wish to have, my English would require a more concentrated reading. 73, Reino OH3mA
