In the WSJT-X Band Activity column most of the stations that I have worked before on the active band have a green background color with a grey background behind the call letters. However, I've noticed that a number of stations that have been worked previously on a band do not have the grey behind the callsigns when they call CQ on that band This is the case,for example, with the 8P6PE, whom I've worked on 40M FT8. His CQs are not flagged with a gray background behind his callsign.
Since the flag colors are derived from data in the "wjst_log.adi" file, I checked it and found a 40M FT8 QSO with 8P6PE made a few months ago. I clicked on the "Rescan ADIF log" button located at the "Settings/Colors" in hopes that it would resolve the problem. Unlike other buttons that are clicked, when I click on the "Rescan ADIF log" button, there is no sign that any action was taken. I expected that subsequent decoded 40M FT8 CQs from 8P6PE would be flagged with a grey background behind the callsign. Instead, his CQs continued to produce a full green background without the grey. Any idea as to why this is happening? It appears that the "Rescan ADIF log" feature may not be working. 73, Rich - K1HTV
