I fixed the branch so that the mingw builds (the one used for packaging a windows binary). All that is MSVC (src/msvc, build/visual) could be removed, as it's only for development under windows (and therefore unneeded in a branch). I only modified Makefile.am so that it isn't packaged anymore.
