Hi!

Since the beginning of September, work has been done to make Wormux run 
on top of Box2D physical engine (http://www.box2d.org). If you have 
tested the current trunk, you know that it is not yet finished. The 
effort has currently been done by Fredb219 and me. A good part of the 
job is done, but evil is in details...

For now, I'm busy with the implementation of the "headless" server. The 
goal of this program is to avoid users to open their firewall. 
"headless" servers will host network games but will not play. I don't 
plan to remove the possibility to create a server from the game, so I'm 
refactoring the code to share code between Wormux and headless server. I 
hope to have something working by the end of the week and a reliable 
version by the end of the month :) All the modifications already done 
can be applied on Wormux 0.8.2 (to make a 0.8.3) if we plan to make a 
new version without Box2D physical engine.

BeBeliouS, a new contributor is creating new sound samples! I hope great 
progress on this topic for future versions of Wormux :)

For the next release, by the end of the year, I hope to have dedicated 
servers running on the internet and new sound samples. Wormux may not 
use Box2D physical engine... it depends of our progress. I'm quite 
optimistic but time is a rare resource... Graphical enhancements from 
yeKcim will of course be added with pleasure!!

Choosing the version number will, of course, depend on the features 
available ;)
