Hi,

I have been tracking how many downloads the windows and OSX 0.8
installers had got, but I've thought of something more rewarding for us
wormux contributers.

My idea is to ask people to send postcards of their place (with whatever
text they please, but wishlists sure get bonus points that way :) if
they feel like it. That involves having a snail mail address available
somewhere, but I'd be pleased to contribute my own. :-)

It would more efficient to have it directly in the game, but it's very
intrusive, and I personally don't like the idea. A potentially good
location might be on the download page.

Then, they have to be somehow shared with all the contributers. Maybe a
solution would be to note down/scan the text of the postcard (if the
sender has explicitly allowed it), and make a guestbook out of it.
Scanning photos is troublesome because they are usually copyrighted, so
any album made of it wouldn't be public (contributers-only).

Other funny alternate things are photos evocative of wormux, but I don't
think a photo of someone playing wormux in a strange location can be an
easy photo.

So, I'm writing this mail to the whole list so that contributers have
their say in whether the idea is to go on, and if they have opinions
about any of my proposals above.

I'd really enjoy doing that, but I'll drop it if someone is against it.

Best regards,
Kurosu
