i tried the basic system of using the static install of wormux, and of course i am getting horrible fps and it is unplayable.
here's what i can tell from use on my ubuntu system.
1) i copied the base install to /usr/local/share/wormux
2) it couldn't find various files contained in the data directory under /usr/local/share/wormux/data
3) the game itself should run fine, but doesn't.... what happens every time is it runs at 2.5 fps and has terrible mirroring.
4) the system itself should know to look up the data files under the data directory.
4a) due to the bugs i was forced to install wormux like so:

5) i was forced to use a kill command on wormux so i could regain control of my system.
5a) i downloaded wormux from the download link on the wormux site.
