Since Wormux is under GPL, i don't see any restriction for you to use wormux 
code/graphic as you want.. Actually that's true even if you want to sell your 
game, there is no problem as soon as your source code is available online.

The last time we saw lami (Lawrance Azzoug) a few months ago, he had a map 
generator nearly ready to work... But since nobody have been able to contact 
him, you'll have to begin from scratch ..

If other developers agree, i'm ok to have it on the same website as wormux. 
But for the repository i don't see how we could share the same, unless you 
can develop your port in c++.
