Tracey and I started watching WNN during her pregnancy with our first child,
Jacob. Jacob is now a Broadcast Communications major at the University of
Alabama in his sophomore year. That thought alone astounds me.

I started on this list in 1995. After starting flame-wars for no good reason
(I was young and stupid), I settled in with this group of people, who I have
had in my life for longer then I ever imagined would be possible.

We loved Kevin and Thalia. My faves were always Bill and Shiela, the battling
Bickersons. Still to this day, there's just enough weirdness to enjoy it in
the middle of the night.

And so it goes,

Kevin Brabant (not living on a fault line, mea culpa)

I keep forgetting I've been with WNN since the very early Aaron/Lisa days. I've
even been here on the WNNDL as far back as I remember. Like Deb, it's been an
online constant for me.

I haven't really watched the show in some time, but I'm very glad it is still
around. And I'm glad a fellow Nowbie let me visit their mug :)

Channel 23, by the way, is the Akron ABC affiliate that used to carry a full
run of WNN. Sadly, it is now the Ion Network's Cleveland market affiliate, with
no connection to Akron aside from the "WVPX-TV Akron, OH" hourly legal ID.

And by the way even further, Channel 23 used to be WAKR-TV, co-owned with
radio's 1590 WAKR, a station which against its better judgement employs me as
afternoon anchor these days...

Oh, right. Happy WNNiversary. I only completely by accident happened to wake
up around 3 a.m., not wearing pants, and saw this.

I miss the quirk, too. But glad we're all kind of hanging in here as well as
Facebook. This group may be the last consistent thing I've had most of my
Internet life. Cheers.

Hmmm, I wonder if WNN is now anything like "Channel 23".... Or is that still 20
minutes into the future? ;-)

Enjoying a 23-flavor beverage in their honor!
