I hear ya Deb. I ditched the copy desk back in August to go back into sports for the first time in 15 years and it's still a bit of a culture shock. How did I become "Mr. de Give" to the coaches all of a sudden? and trying to remember that if a kid is holding a baby on a lap, it does not necesairly mean they're babysitting .. oh gawd ..

I just ranted without reading a full thread but it hit a raw nerve, obvs. I never thought I'd be so grateful to have not ended up in traditional newspaper journalism. I can bitch about my moron editor but still thank gawd my very niche entertainment trade gig is doing well despite it all. So maybe I should STFU. But I was snarked on today by a co-worker who remarked that I was old enough to be her mother. Well, um, yeah. But when the hell did THAT happen?! Damn, a long time ago. Shit. Sorry for being such a downer. But damn damn damn.....
