We wouldn't want an early call to affect important issues on the West Coast, such as this one:
George Bush sewage plant on San Francisco ballot SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Voters here have a chance to memorialize President Bush’s legacy by renaming a San Francisco sewage plant after him. If San Francisco voters approve Proposition R, the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant would be known as the George W. Bush Sewage Plant. The measure’s supporters say it’s a fitting tribute to the 43rd president, blasting him for a long list of national woes from the Iraq war to the slumping economy. Proponents say in a ballot argument that slapping Bush’s name on a sewage plant “symbolizes the city’s deft ability to clean up its share of the financial and diplomatic mess left in this administration’s wake.” The White House has declined comment on the measure, but other Republicans have denounced it as childish and stupid. --- On Tue, 11/4/08, Steve Rhodes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > From: Steve Rhodes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: Re: [ELECTION] Ok, so where... > To: [email protected] > Date: Tuesday, November 4, 2008, 1:58 PM > Conservative online activist has promised to call states 2 > hours > before the media does > > http://twitter.com/PatrickRuffini > > And Drudge usually has leaked polls (though the networks > have tried to prevent that this year). > > But yes, do view exit polls skeptically. > > -- > Steve Rhodes > > http://flickr.com/photos/ari/ photos > > > http://twitter.com/tigerbeat > > http://del.icio.us/tigerbeat interesting articles & > sites > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World News Now Discussion List" group.
