1) Not what it was designed to do. Instead of trying to fight burn, why not try to embrace it. Create a single unified user experience in the BA, and then property drive your MSI's silently.
2) I believe the splash is hidden after detect completes. Instead of trying to embed valuable information in the splash screen, why not display it in the "welcome" dialog of WixStdBA? The time that this splash screen stays is very changing on different runs and also on our test VM Machines. In my laptop it comes and vanishes like a lightening. We have included some info about version,name , release etc on splash screen so that customers can have a quick look at it. So is there any way to make it stay for particular amount of time, say for 5 secs. ?
