In InstallShield if we open .ism file,which was created using older version, with newer version it backs up old version ism with .771/.771 extension and it will automatically upgrades to new version ism file.
But, in WiX if i install newer version and tried to open older version file. it throws error, cant load the project. I changed the version numbers and items in property group . Please correct me where i have gone wrong.
