Hi, As you know and as posted in the article below, WiX v3 has moved to .NET Framework 2.0 while WiX v2 will stay on .NET Framework 1.1 SP1.
http://robmensching.com/blog/posts/2007/12/7/wix-v3-on-the-.net-framework-2.0-eminent However, I did not find much information on the plan of .NET Framework version for WiX v4. Therefore, I have the following questions: 1) What will be the .NET Framework version used in WiX v4? I browsed some source code in WiX v4 GIT repository (say src/tools/wix/Localizer.cs) and found some use of System.Xml.Linq.XDocument. Does it indicate at least .NET Framework 3.5 is used? 2) Will WiX v3 stay with .NET Framework 2.0? If so, we should limit our dependencies to .NET Framework 2.0 for WiX v3 extensions, right? 3) What about the C# language guideline in WiX v3 and v4? Should we stick with the ISO-2 or move to C# 3.0, which supports new language sugars like default parameters, extension methods and lambda expressions etc.?
