It has to be possible to have multiple versions Installed, according to the major versions of the host program. So far I got this working in my MSI (using Upgrade/UpgradeVersion). Now building a simple bootstrapper to install both MSIs in chain (and making the licensing system vital), after researching all over I do not see a way to handle the update behaviour like this. Because the bundle is now the 'actual' software package installed (i.e. in the ARM), using the same version numbers as the msi, but wix bundle does not let me handle update things like msi package and always replaces the installed version. As my knowledge with windows installation is not as deep as well, my first question is if I probably got the purpose of bootstrappers wrong. Or is it just the WixStandardBA that does not offer me that complexity and I would have to write my own BA?
