Hi all I have a ComponentGroup with three different Web.config files, each one contained in its own Component with its own GUID and mutually exclusive conditions. Light will give an ICE30 warning in this situation, but according to below post, it should be ok as long as the conditions for the components are mutually exclusive:
http://windows-installer-xml-wix-toolset.687559.n2.nabble.com/conditional-component-installation-td687768.html#none One of the answers in the above post suggests that I should use the same GUID for each component. However, when I do that, the Web.config file won't not uninstall. So, my questions are: Is the information in the above post obsolete (considering it's from 2005)? More in general, what is the best practice in a situation like this? I'm using WiX 3.8.
