Hi all, We are using a debug build of WiX 3.6.3005 with a few changes compared to standard source files and have a problem on Windows 8 only with our bundle (managed UI). After everything is installed (or uninstalled), the chainer seems to hang for some time, and after a couple of minutes it shows an assert: "Child elevated process did not return matching exit code to parent process." (pipe.cpp / PipeTerminateChildProcess) Chainer processes end a couple of minutes later. We found out that it is somehow linked to the Windows Update service. On our Windows 8 computers the Windows Update feature is not working at the moment for machines that must pass through a proxy server. Strangely, as soon as Windows Update manages to connect (proxy bypassed) or when the Windows Update service is disabled, the chainer no longer hangs (terminates immediately). Is this a known problem (or expected one) ?
