Thanks Peter, I get 4 properties from my MSI in my custom action so that is why it is immediate. Am I correct in thinking you cannot get properties in deferred custom actions?

Scheduling a deferred CA with WcaDoDeferredAction from the Wix SDK is easy because it allows you to specify the ticks as its 3rd parameter. There might be an equivalent for immediate actions.
