I have a custom managed BA which may need to install Windows Installer 4.5 in order to install SQL Express (which requires a re-boot).
I have managed to get the re-boot sequence working OK when 4.5 is installed, & my installer re-starts OK - but it restarts from my first screen, meaning the user has to go through the options & licence pages again before install resumes. What i want to to do is save the users options from the initial install & re-use them after re-boot so that the install will progress without the user having to re-enter their settings, agree to licence etc. Can anyone advise the best way of going about this?
