There is some documentation. Navigation is better in the WiX.chm than on
the website (the WiX.chm has better TOC).
Hopefully the names are pretty self-explanatory. Detect() tells the engine
to figure out what is on the machine. Plan(action) tells the engine to plan
an install, uninstall, or repair based on what is detected. Apply() tells
the engine to apply the plan to the machine. The system is async so
everything is a callback.

Not terribly difficult and the pertinent code in the WixBA is ~600 lines of
code in the InstallationViewModel.cs.
Again, now that bugs appear to be under control it will be time to focus on
documentation.
