Colleagues, Can't seem to reply to my post through the mailing list archive... Anywho...
I'm checking a couple of things: * I thought perhaps since my network connection was down, so couldn't resolve the XSD reference. I re-establish that, and reload the solution, no go. Still issues drawing in the XSD: namely doesn't like <Product><PropertyRef/></Product>, in spite of what I read in the documentation. * Next, I "complete the sentence" in my <Wix/> element: xmlns=http://schemas.microsoft.com/wix/2006/wix.xsd and lo and behold, my <PropertyRef/> warning goes away (among other things), but now the compiler fails to build the WiX Setup project! WTF?! It expects http://schemas.microsoft.com/wix/2006/wi and won't let me pass without it. I don't get it. We're using 3.5. Why isn't this working for us? What are we missing? Do we need to upgrade to 3.6 Beta to work past these issues? These aren't esoteric things we're doing (yet), although eventually we'll want to employ custom actions throughout the build to deploy our systems properly. I'm sure we get past whatever this hold up is and things will start flowing (almost) effortlessly. Someone let us know what we're missing please. Thanks...
