I'm also seeing this problem, with WiX 3.6. I click Uninstall, the program uninstalls and asks for a reboot. I answer "No" and the list of installed applications fails to refresh until I click F5. Having read about how WI checks whether it needs to refresh the list, I verified that the product guid under HLKM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall had disappeared, and it had. The Event Log also appears to indicate everything went ok: Beginning a Windows Installer transaction: {GUID} Client Process Id: 1876. --- Product: MyProduct -- Removal completed successfully. --- Windows Installer removed the product. Product name: MyProduct. Product Version: 1.0.0.0. Product Language: 1033. Manufacturer: Me. Removal success or error status: 0. -- Windows Installer requires a system restart.
