I'm installing a product that relies on Crystal Reports 10.5, included in my WiX project via the bootstrapper (using the CR boostrapper package that comes with Visual Studio 2008/Windows SDK v6.0A).
The install works fine on a clean Windows 7 machine, but if I try to run it on a machine with a newer version of Crystal Reports, the bootstrapper fails and I can't proceed with my product installation. I can still install the product successfully by running the .msi file directly, but I want to avoid having my users do that. Can I somehow instruct the bootstrapper to only attempt the CR 10.5 installation if there is not a newer version of CR already installed? -- Regards, Neils Christoffersen ~ Skype: neils.christoffersen ~ Phone: +1 (605) 223-1116 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ All the data continuously generated in your IT infrastructure contains a definitive record of customers, application performance, security threats, fraudulent activity, and more.
