Hi, I'm using VS 2005 in 2 environments; Win 7 64 bit and XP 32 bit. I am having trouble getting WiX 3.5 template to show in the new project dialog in either environment. When I start Visual Studio and look on the splash screen I can see “Windows Installer XML Toolset 3.5” as the last item in the Installed Products list. However it doesn’t show in the New Project dialog.
To install WiX first I made sure that Visual Studio was closed. Then I first installed the ProjectAggregator2.msi and then Wix35.msi. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and I cannot see what I am doing wrong. Any help would be really appreciated.
