I've been doing a lot of work with collaboration and TFS lately and I've been wondering something. Team Foundation Server Client ( aka TFC aka Team Explorer ) has an installer that gives you a stock Visual Studio IDE / Shell and installs the Team Explorer AddIn. This allows non-developer personas to access the Team System ( work items / source control / builds / reports and so on )
Is it possible to piggy back off of this and use WiX / Votive? I ask because in my collaboration / setup democratization excercises I sometimes come across contributors who are not developers. These tend to be content producers, tech writers, and so on. I want to try to leverage the Votive story with these people also. --- Christopher Painter, Author of Deployment Engineering Blog Have a hot tip, know a secret or read a really good thread that deserves attention?
