Funny, I just saw a tweat for a RentACoder job to convert an InstallShield project to WiX. The estimated price range was .... wait for it.... $4 - $99 USD.
Really? That's laughable even if you are working in a developing country for $5 - $10 an hour. So how do you migrate an InstallShield project to Wix? It's easy. Step 1: Become an expert in InstallShield, MSI and WiX Step 2: ??? Step 3: Profit I say ??? because the answer is: it depends. You'd have to look at the InstallShield project and source to understand what it's doing and how you would do it in WiX.
