What Registry Entry are you referring to? In that entire sample there is but one RegistryValue which is simply a stub entry used as a KeyPath for a component.
It appears you're missing the entire point of that How To guide. The purpose is to create a clickable shortcut which will uninstall your product. The sample code shows how to do that & place the shortcut under the Start Menu entry for the sample product.
