Hi All, I'd like a quick pointer as to how to plan for and create simple patches. Most of the time, it looks like we'll be replacing one or two files, so I'm keen to author a patch file myself, rather than rely on any difference tools. I also want the MSI to run by itself, without using the msiexec command line.
I'm slightly confused as to how to do this. I think, given that I want to run the MSI directly, that I'm forced down the path of major upgrade. Is this right? Should I also be using upgrade code for the patch?
