Hi everyone,

We have been using an old 3.5 beta build (v3.5.2030.0) for a while now
without any big issues. Our projects are mostly in VS2008, VS210 and
build automation is with TFS2010.

For a long time we were suffering from the random "Please wait..."
dialog issue which was worked around by adding the
'WixUICostingPopupOptOut' property as suggested by Bob Arnson in his
blog (http://www.joyofsetup.com/2010/05/20/its-time-to-experiment/).

However, after upgrading from v3.5.2030.0 to the escrow release
v3.5.2325.0 we started getting the following error in our builds...

"C:\delivery\Dev\wix35_public\src\ext\UIExtension\wixlib\Common.wxs(21):
error LGHT0195: The Windows Installer XML variable
'WixUICostingPopupOptOut' is declared in more than one location. Please
remove one of the declarations. [C:\Builds\Setup.wixproj]"

For now we have commented out the 'WixUICostingPopupOptOut' property and
the error has gone away but I'm not sure if the "Please wait..." bug is
going to come back now.

Does anyone know if there is an alternate way to opt-out of the costing
dialog that works in the escrow release? Or is that property not
necessary anymore?

Thanks in advance.

Sharad Patel
