I have a strange issue with automating visual studio with votive: I create
several projects (in particular winforms and wix) and modify them in several
ways (remove/add files, modify build properties) using automation objects. But
there is one thing that I cannot achieve this way: adding import to project
file (new .targets file). Therefore I need to save all files, unload the
project, modify it and then reload. For that I use the following code:
//select project in solution explorer
dte.ExecuteCommand("File.SaveAll");
dte.ExecuteCommand("Project.UnloadProject");
//modify project file
Now, it all works fine in VS 2008 but in VS 2010 I am asked whether I want to
save my Wix project (which should have already been saved one line earlier).
Of course I'm asking here because it doesn't happen for my winforms project,
only for Wix project.
Anybody has a clue what might be happening here?
