So, from what I have been told by the Windows Embedded team, this is how you
can check.

WES 7
-------------------------------
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows Embedded Standard 7\Setup

WES9
-------------------------------
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows Embedded\ProductName = "Windows Embedded
Standard"
