Dear Sir,
We are using the Wix project a lot and well in vs2008.We have some wix
project template files which were developed under wix3.0 with Visual
Studio 2008. But after migration into vs2010 with Wix3.5, we meet some
warning during the start up of a new instance of the Guidance Package.
It says the wix project is changed out side of the environment. But
actually we do not make any change to the wix project during the
solution creation. (I also doing some comparing for the project files
before or after the change. They look identical.)The wix project is
located under Templates\Solutions\Projects\Wixproject or
WixMergedModuleProject. GuidancePakcageTest.zip has the source code
(Password:mes).
Beside the above issue, we find another issue. The dlls(Wix Custom
Action dlls) under
GuidancePackageTest\GuidancePackageTest\Templates\Solutions\Projects\Wix
Project\MESCustomActions will be modified (the dlls should be copied
without any changes to them), which will cause some of our function not
working based on those dlls. The attachment has the dlls size image
before and after the guidance solution instance generating a new sample
project. This issue can be reproduced with the same zip file of the
previous issue.
To reproduce the above issues, it needing the following environment and
having the Microsoft GAX\GAT experience would be better.
I am not sure you are the right person for those issues. But if you can
give some input, it would be highly appreciated.
The working environment is:
1. Windows 2008 Server 32bit
2. Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Professional RTM
3. Visual Studio 2010 SDK
