..and remember that MSI installs don't violate security. You may be thinking 
that there is a setting that allows somebody with non-admin privileges to do an 
install that writes to restricted locations. Are you writing to the registry 
with custom actions are or they defined in WiX?

Hello,

I am really new to wix and I would like to ask about the UAC issue in
wix.  I could not install in Vista and windows 7 OS (Japanese).  I have
researched and most of my searches tells me to elevate my privileges.
But, how should I really do this?

I have tried to set my package's attributes InstallPrivileges to
elevated and the InstallScope to perMachine but still an error appears.
There is already a SHIELD icon on my install button, but still I cannot
update my registry.

Hope someone can help me on this.
