Er right, that condition would get re-evaluated and remove the component on repair. But the problem still occurs without any of that. This happens on Windows Server 2003 - IIS 6.0. I haven't had a chance to test this the other OS I'm targeting (Windows Server 2008 with IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility installed).
